Biographical History: The sketches feature places visited by the H.M.S. Rattlesnake including the Glasshouse Mountains, Torres Strait Island, the Louisiade Archipelago, and Chaumont, Joannet, Pig, and Rossel Islands.
This is part of a larger body of work: "[Oswald W.B. Brierly : sketches in the Louisiade Archipelago during the surveying voyage of H.M.S. Rattlesnake, 1849]"
