Istanbul kadisi; single-page painting mounted on album folio. The Istanbul kadisi, the canon law judge of Istanbul, wearing a green kaftan, white robe and white turban with green cap. Inscribed. Album contains 124 paintings of Turkish sultans and court officials. Ink and opaque watercolour on paper. Album cound in green leather with pages of Persian paper, according to inscription. Page edges gilded with gold.
