Description

Scene depicting three cows, a farmer leaning on one of them which a very large bell around its neck; the farmer holds a Swiss horn; a dog stands in the right foreground; behind them is a wooden chalet with a water trough in front; in the left distance is another hill with another farmhouse and herd of cows in front; beyond this is a high, snowy mountain peak. Etching and aquatint with hand-colouring.

Graphite inscription on verso: "k / 28.4.28" and "49945".
