A view from the sea of a symmetrical volcanic peak, identified from the text of Ellis' Voyage, Vol. II, p. 281 'A sugarloaf hill bore S. E. by E. and a part of the land making in a kind of a cape N. E. This cape was denominated Shoal Ness by Captain Cook ...' and by comparison with the peak on the recto of this sheet (A-264-043-1)
