Description
Wash drawing, Euston Station. Doric arch less advanced than 1 feet of columns only, Oct. 1837, by John Cooke Bourne. Depicts the construction of Euston Station on the London and Birmingham Railway. In the foreground, laying on the ground, are the tops of the Doric columns of the arch erected at the entrance to the station. Beyond is the partially completed arch, covered in scaffolding, and on either side are lodges, built in the classical style, and also surrounded with scaffolding.
