Biographical History: Little is known about R. Grindell, he appears to have been an itinerant watercolour artist in the 1860s. Grindell painted views of Wallace's property, Eunonyhareenyha, Wagga Wagga, c. 1863 (Private collection) and a portrait of Aubrey and Hubert Murray (sons of Terence Aubrey Murray) at Winderradeen, Canberra district, in 1863 (National Library of Australia. PIC 6555).
