Traveller's Khan, Smyrna; a large inn-yard, with high arch at back leading into dark street, a Turk in the foreground standing by his mule, a pile of sacks lying against the wall beneath a projecting penthouse, at the back of the yard are pack-animals and baggage, with other figures under arch and on street beyond. 1843. Watercolour and graphite, with bodycolour.
