Chiranthodendron pentadactylon Larreategui, Sterculiaceae
Notes: The Expedition travelled to Toluca in mid-Dec. 1787 expressly to collect and paint this species, from the only known tree. However, this particular drawing may have been made after a cultivated tree flowered in Mexico in 1795. Artist Cerda? See also 894. Double page.
