Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX124. Roxburgh notes in his 'Flora Indica', 'This rather small tree, a native of the Circar mountains and Bengal. It flowers in March and April. The buds are covered with a transparent, soft resinous exudation'. Roxburgh, 'Flora Indica' (1832) v.3 p.832.
