Description

Two brown moths in flight, shown with pupa and caterpillar. According to artist's notes `Feeds on the Kalmia hirsuta and waterplants. Spins up to the stalks 23rd Sept., bred 12th Octr and continued coming out till the 6th Novr. Is often very destructive in gardens to cabbages and coleworts eating the leaves like a net.'
