Description

Watercolour painting on European paper of a Raja seated on a low throne. He holds a flower in his right hand and a yellow fruit in his left. He wears white and gold clothing and wears numerous pieces of gold jewellery and a shear turban. His throne is lavishly decorated with gold and textiles. The throne is placed on a floor decorated with a floral scheme. Various vessels have also been placed on the floor in front of the Raja alongside his sandals. Textiles are draped and tasselled above his head.
