Description

Several local men hold barking dogs by leashes in a courtyard, small buildings either side, with a monkey sat atop a birdhouse and horses in stables on the left. 1805. Etching.

Inscription

Lettered below image with title in English and French, and: "Saml. Howett del. from the original design of Captn. Thos. Williamson./ Edwd. Orme Excudit/ H.Merke sculp./ No. XXXVII/ Published & Sold June 4. 1805, by Edwd. Orme His Majesty's Printseller, 59 Bond Street London."
