Interior, with a cobbler sitting on a work-bench facing the window on the left, a table set with food in the centre, and a woman cooking at a brick and grate stove on the right, her seat separated by a small partition; shelves above the woman; an equestrian portrait of the 'Duke of Cumberland' and a few song-sheets or broadside on the walls, household implements, bird-cage, cats, and a staircase ascending behind the woman, in the centre background. 1775. Hand-coloured mezzotint with etching.
