Inscribed in purple over red watercolour, l.l.: Owen Staples 1910. Frame (stored separately) has gilt cardboard nameplate with letterpress: INTERIOR OF HOMESTEAD OF MAJOR DANIEL SERVOS / At Palatine Hill, Niagara Township, Lincoln County, Ont., 1783-1911. / Now occupied by his great grand-daughter, Miss Mary Servos.
