Description

Landscape with a river running diagonally from left foreground, with a series of slight rapids, below a small wooden bridge on brick supports with buildings at each end, and zig-zagging between low mountains, the foremost slopes cultivated, with two men talking pm the bank in right foreground; after Davis. 1813. Hand-coloured aquatint.

Inscription

Lettered below the image with the title, and "Drawn by S. Davis Esqr. / Engraved by W. Daniell / Published by Wm. Daniell No. 9 Cleveland Street, Fitzroy Square London July 25, 1813."
