Walton Brook and Anfield Road looking North; an intersection of two roads, meeting at the corner of a field, there are trees at the side of the road and in the distance, and on the corner is a lamp-post next to which people sit on felled tree trunks, to the left a man walks towards the viewer, and to the right a woman in shawl and bonnet walks away up the road with two children. August 1858. Watercolour with bodycolour over graphite.
