View from Halifax Citadel looking southeast towards McNabs Island and Halifax Harbour mouth, foreground shows red earth with loose stones green grass at left, several barrack and artillery buildings in centre ground, board fences and smaller fences at right, at left is McNabs Island with Maugher's Beach and Sherbrooke Martello Tower, on mainland, Pt. Pleasant Park including Steele's Pond and Prince of Wales Martello Tower, in right distance is York Redoubt including Duke of York Martello Tower.
