Description
The Gosling sisters at a music lesson; older sister, Mary Ann Gosling (later Mrs Thomas Henry Harding), wearing a bonnet, is seated on the left next to a garden urn, her sister (later Mrs Milward of Redditch) with a harp seated in the centre, her other sister (later Mrs Janson of Hove) standing to right, all in a garden setting, possibly their home Little Green, Richmond, Surrey. June, 1835. Pencil with touches of red chalk and blue and yellow wash, in original frame.
