Effigy of Edmund Crouchback, Earl of Lancaster, second son of Henry III, in Westminster Abbey, study for plate 43 in Stothard's 'The Monumental Effigies of Great Britain', published by Mrs Anna Eliza Bray, 1817-32, one of a large group of studies for this volume; whole-length, recumbent figure, seen in profile, at right an angel supporting his head, at left a lion underfoot, also further studies, consisting of mailles, the bearings on the belt, the Earl on horseback, and the top part of his sword and scabbard. 1812. Pen and grey ink and graphite, with grey wash and watercolour.
