Description

Watercolour on paper by Rosamond Constance Talbot (1837-1906), 1893. Mounted on one card with another watercolour. The first watercolour is of a fjord scene with a sailing ship in the centre. At the bottom left is written in ink //Odde Aug /93? [the last part partially obscured by the mount]. The second watercolour depicts the wooden Stave Church at Borgund, with two women working in the fields in the foreground. On the back of the mounting are stuck various pages of English newspapers, dated 8th December 1911. Also on the back, written in pencil is // 2 B-- // and // Borgund Church of 12th Century.
