Description

The Old Black Jack, a tavern in Clare Market, a crowded street outside the tavern including a man holding a green calash (large boned hood). All the women are wearing bonnets. In the road are a man selling green umbrellas and a young girl pulling a pram with two babies. Next door is a second-hand goods shop with furniture and clothing spread out obstructing the wide pavement. Watercolour over graphite sketch.
