Description
St Bartholomew's by the exchange, and the site of the royal exchange, the church in the drawing was removed to make way for the new exchange, designed by Tite, and opened in 1844, the drawing is from a large collection of drawings of buildings and antiquities in London, including Roman remains in the City and interiors of many places including St. Paul's Cathedral, Southwark, the Strand, Covent Garden, Bloomsbury, British Museum and Whitehall. 1840. Watercolour with graphite and ink, with touches of white.
