Description

Contents: "A west view of Sydney from Fort Phillip, a location just to the south of the present-day Observatory. "Across Darling Harbour on the left is Pyrmont with John Macarthur's windmill. Cockle Bay or White Bay separates it from Balmain. The two post-mills are on Millers Point, beyond which is Goat Island and the Parramatta River. Balls Head lies just past the right-hand tip of Goat Island, and is separated by Berrys Bay from Blues Point. Lavender Bay is partly seen on the extreme right. Millers Point with its two post-mills was then a distinct knob protruding into the harbour.
