The pā of Pōmare I and Pōmare II, situated near Opua in the Bay of Islands, possibly at the junction of the Kawakawa River and the Waikare inlet. It was rebuilt and fortified by Pōmare II, but razed by the British in 1845. https://natlib.govt.nz/records/37316935
