Details from monument of Aymer (or Adomar) de Valence, Earl of Pembroke, youngest son of William de Valence, in Westminster Abbey, study for part of plate 49 in Stothard's 'The Monumental Effigies of Great Britain', published by Mrs Anna Eliza Bray, 1817-32, one of a large group of studies for this volume; de Valence on horseback, riding to left, wearing armour and a heraldic surcoat, also separate study of rider, turned to right, and of the toe of the solerette of the figure on horseback. 1811.
