Description

Academic anonymous landscape. Stone building with tower on narrow street between Cedar and Liberty Streets. Originally a church built by the Dutch Reformists in 1729. The Post Office occupied this buiding from 1845-1875; taken down in 1882. Later than Endicott lithograph of 1845 (ill. Portfolio, Aug. 1942, p. 7). Here the portico in front is enclosed and another story added, partially blocking the three further windows. Medium: Watercolour and graphite on paper.
