Description

Botanical study of great water reed grass (Gramen palust. paniculat. altiss) with a flower detail. From a series of watercolours of English grasses and wild flowers by Richard Waller (MS/131). The paintings were possibly intended as illustrations for a catalogue of plants by John Ray (1627-1705).
