Effigy of Isabella of Angoulême, wife of King John, at the Abbey of Fontevraud, study for plate 13 of Stothard's 'The Monumental Effigies of Great Britain', published by Mrs Anna Eliza Bray, 1817-32, one of a large group of studies for this volume; whole-length recumbent figure, to front, hands crossed over chest, also separate studies of details from her attire. 1816. Pen and grey ink, with grey wash, graphite and watercolour.
