Description

Watercolour painting on paper of botanical specimen of a plant with a woody stem. Issuing from the main stem are five green stems with large green leaves. Two of the green stems also bear yellow fruit, one of which is painted so that the flesh of the fruit is visible. On two of the remaining stems are immature fruit. In the lower left corner of the page is a cross section of the fruit of the plant and detail of the seeds and flesh of the fruit. The painting is from an album of 58 botanical paintings.
