Description

Pen and ink drawing, accented with watercolour paint on paper of the Moti Masjid, or Pearl Mosque at Agra Fort. The painting shows the arcaded courtyard of the mosque, with two gateways on the left and right. In the foreground is a square fountain. The mosque has a large prayer hall with seven arched bays split into three aisles. On the edge of the roof of the prayer hall are seven small square domed kiosks and in each corner is a larger domed kiosk. Three larger domes rise above the smaller kiosks. Domed kiosks also adorn the gateways. The whole structure is faced in white marble. The drawing is framed by a thick black line.
