Description

Pencil and watercolour sketch depicting a group of ladies and gentlemen gathered in a vaulted room. Signed '[J or] F.B. December 1855', Ms pencil beneath image 'Reminscence of an evening at Baron Liebig's'. This is possibly Justus von Liebig, a German chemist, who held a post at the Univeristy of Munich in the 1850s.
