Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX302. In his 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh notes that this is one of the largest annuals of the region; it tends to grow where the soil is 'good and dry.' It flowers during the wet and cold seasons. Roxburgh, 'Flora Indica' (1832) v.3, p.2.
