The approximately two-kilometre racecourse ran down Clyde and Derwent streets, bounded by Medway and Humber, and included parts of Mersey and Thames streets. Today few reminders exist of the racecourse, bar a graceful curve linking Clyde and Humber streets, where horses once made their turn.
