Description

Two pale brown moths in flight, shown with pupa and caterpillar. According to artist's notes `Feeds on the Inuala Gramnifolia, Willow Cotton tree &c. Spun up in a piece of the leaf 25th May. The Chrysalis is remarkably in the size and shape of the last ring of the Abdomen and when disturbed keeps turning round remarkable nimble. Bred 7th June. Frequents the sides of brooks and swamps. Is not very common'.
