Description

Shows Mount Ruapehu in the central distance. Two women stand together in the right foreground on an area of lawn in a landscaped garden. The garden comprises swathes of lawn surrounded by shrubs and trees, with a seat in the centre and possibly a small bower at the end of the lawned area at the left.

The other works in the group include one dated 1892 and one dated 1893, and it is assumed that all date from the late 1880s and early 1890s.
