Description

Henry Scudder Platt (1798-1863) married Maria Frisbie (1800-1877; 49.18.2) about 1830. Family tradition has it that these portraits were painted on their wedding trip. Medium: watercolor on ivory in vermeil locket; verso lens with hair.
