Description

A ship wrecked against rocks, with survivors in a rowing boat in the foreground and on rocks to left, one in the sea swimming towards them; a natural rock arch behind them and other vessels and a distant shore in the background; after Vernet. 1805. Colour mezzotint with additional hand-colouring.
