Description

The sheet has been removed from its mount, the centre of the mount cut away, and the sheet tipped back on to its mount, probably during conservation in 1960. A pen & ink and wash version by Peachey of the same view is in now Library and Archives Canada (see 'Archives Canada Microfiches', Microfiche 2, No. 8; Neg. No. C-45565). Inscribed in ink, mount l.l.: James Peachey 1785; b: A View of the Bridge Built over the River Maskenongé, By Order of General Haldimand in 1782,
