Effigy of Aveline, Countess of Lancaster (died 1269), wife of Edmund 'Crouchback', in Westminster Abbey, London, study for plate 40 in Stothard's 'The Monumental Effigies of Great Britain', published by Mrs Anna Eliza Bray, 1817-32, one of a large group of studies for this volume; whole-length, female figure, to front, hands clasped, wearing a long costume, two animals underfoot, and two supporting angels above her shoulders, also separate studies of details. 1812. Pen and brown ink and graphite, with brown wash and watercolour.
