A room in Balmes or Whitmore House, Hoxton; a large room with intricately decorative ceiling and wooden panelling around the walls and wooden floorboards, in front of the fireplace to the left wooden panels are piled up, possibly for disposal, and to the right a man stoops over two baskets, presumably in the process of dismantling the empty room. 1852. Watercolour with bodycolour over graphite.
