Arctic landscape; a group of Europeans leave their muskets on the ground and walk across the ice towards a group of Inuits, one of whom approaches in a boat, while others are gathered in a large circle further off; with another European in the left foreground, icebergs and cliffs in the background; after J. Ross; illustration to J Ross' 'Narrative of a second voyage in search of a North-West passage.' (London, 1835). Colour mezzotint with additional hand-colouring.
