Decorative pattern details from the effigy of Edmund Crouchback, Earl of Lancaster, second son of Henry III, in Westminster Abbey, study for part of plate 42 in Stothard's 'The Monumental Effigies of Great Britain', published by Mrs Anna Eliza Bray, 1817-32, one of a large group of studies for this volume; consisting of patterns on pillow, hood and surcoat. 1814. Graphite, with watercolour.
