Description

Shows a view across foreground trees and fern, to the buildings of St John's College and its surrounding garden. Part of the curved driveway is visible past the trees. The chapel is to the left on the horizon beyond the college buildings, and the wardens' house is on the far right. The tree at the far right may be a large weeping willow.

Perspective lines are drawn across the tops the the roofs or the college and through the garden.

Notes on the image indicate "fern" and "light green"; probably notes for a later painting.
