View of a town gate in battlemented walls with a tiered roof rising above it, a cart passing beneath, a man standing in front of a tent at the entrance and another approaching along the path from the left foreground, carrying baskets attached to a pole across his shoulders. 1798. Hand-coloured soft-ground etching and aquatint.
