Description

Shows a view looking northwards along the coast at Greymouth, along a narrow strip of sand, with a lagoon or estuary at the right. There are bush-covered hills in the distance, a flax bush in the right foreground, and three weathered tree trunks lying in the centre foreground.

There was a certain amount of reclamation carried out at around or just after this date, lessening the expanse of water at the right.
