Description

Inscribed in the reverse of the original support: " 'A Fresh Breeze' by G Chambers' ".
The fishing boats are flying Dutch flags at the masthead and are presumably on the Dutch coast. As Chambers first visited Holland to paint in 1837, the picture must date between then and his death in 1840.
