Description

Nash studied architectural drawing under Thomas Malton Jun. and attended the Royal Academy Schools; he was elected member of the Old Watercolour Society in 1824 and exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1799 and 1847. Nash was a competent architectural draughtsman and worked extensively for engravers; the size of this watercolour indicates that it was probably intended for engraving.
