This is a page from a group of pencil drawings and watercolours (some pages loose, others bound together) by Piers Egerton Warburton. These sketches record the artist's travels in Wales, England and Scotland. Some are inscribed with dates between 1860 and 1862.

TWW Comment

Denbigh High Cross first stood in the market place of the lower town, at the meeting point of Crown Square and High Street. It was moved to the Royal Bowling Green in 1848, and then to the end of Vale Street in 1983.
