Description

Twin waterfalls at the terminal face of a glacier, in the valley of the River Macaulay, rocky foreground, the Southern Alps behind. An exploring party is traversing the valley floor.

Based on a drawing by Julius von Haast. The exploring party is likely to be Haast's group, since they were the first Europeans to explore this area.
