Description

Coloured Lithograph. One of six views of Brighton mounted on the same card. ' Top left, view of West end, Brighton' shows boats on a rough sea near the edge of the coast. Top right, view of 'Brighton from Rotendeen' (Rottingdean) shows two men on horseback and a third standing on the cliff edge looking west along the coast. Some of the houss can be see along the cliff and the windmill on the hill. Middle left, view of 'East Cliff, Brighton' is a view from the beach where a landslide occured there are two men on the beach and a boat near the beach in a rough sea the buildings on the cliff look precarious. Middle right, view of 'West Cliff,Brighton' View near Steine looking west along the beach showing some of the building in Marine Parade and along the beach. Bottom left, view of 'Entrance of Brighton' Unusual view from possibly Gloucester Place with houses on either side and the Pavilion in the background. Bottom right, view of 'East View of the Chain Pier' from the beach.
